Greetings and salutations

Greetings from upstate SC. I've been lurking around for a while and decided to register. I've been hammocking for a couple of years but more of a day hanger. I like to hike to a nice scenic spot then hang for a few hours before hiking out. I may join the ranks of the hammock campers one day.

Hi Lee_Bo!

I got started into hammocking when I attended a hammock hang. I've been loving my hammock camping ever since. Do you tent camp then?

I did, but it was back when my son and I were in the Scouts. Since that time almost all the tent camping equipment I had is gone.

I think you'd love hammock camping then. I find it much more comfortable than laying on the ground.

Well I've done a few "overnighters" here locally but nothing I'd really call camping. I have no problems hanging in the bak yard and taking a long afternoon nap so I really don't think I'd have any problems camping in one.

Thanks.
