Flynguy's DIY GearWorx

My first attempt at a bridge hammock. I used Dutch's DIY Bridge Kit from http://www.makeyourgear.com. A good kit, even better that I got it on sale. The directions and measurements I used were from HammockDad's youtube videos which Dutch links on his site.

It came out well except I messed up the endcarps because I forgot to include them and cut them out of the pattern I will just add some mesh and make them end pockets. Those measurements yield a narrow hammock. It holds me up just fine, but it is tight and I do get quite a bit of shoulder squeeze. I need to loose weight anyway  I will be making another with wider spreader bars and a wider pattern.

No video this time, battery was dead on the camera. Phone pictures will have to suffice.

Latest vid. My experience putting together the RBTR 3/4 Length UQ Kit.

Overall, a great kit with quality materials that was easier to make than I anticipated. A very cost effective way for someone wanting a little more customizability than a PLUQ or Costco quilt.

Cool dude, can't wait to see it in action. I can think of some fun applications at the Butt Bake.

I just ordered one of these and will be looking for a way to mount it to my trekking pole.
