Compression Bag

#1

Post by hoppy901 » Tue Oct 18, 2016 9:52 am

I've been searching for a cheap ($10 or less) small compression bag and can't seem to find anything for my PLUQ. Most are sleeping bag size or 17" tall. I'm looking for one about the same size a hammock stuffs into with 4 straps. (Like the one my Snugpack jungle blanket goes in). My pack is getting too small for all the Winter gear. Any suggestions/leads?

Thx

Thanks Sarge,
Now the PLUQ is in a 9"x 8" bag uncompressed. Those are still 14 / 17+ & 17+ tall. (Same as I've come up with) Maybe they don't come any shorter unless custom made ?..... May have to go with the first one and add spare clothing etc. Thanks for the time and effort. You are always on the job! :D

Decided to just convert all my stuff sacks to compression sacks. Ordered 20 ladder locks and 10 yards of webbing for $13. Enough to make 5 of 'em. Just a little thread injecting to do.

You might look at Aegismax on Amazon. I just ordered a extra small(2L~6L) to experiment on. Looks decent for $9.90. I just stuffed a poncho liner in it to try for you. It was a little tight going in but doable. Compressed it down to about 9.5" x 6.5". Straps bottomed out there, I don't think it would compress down much more anyway.
