Choose a Hammock with Stand?

#1

Post by thanhliem24 » Sat May 21, 2016 7:27 am

I have read the article: http://hammockstandpro.com/vivere-doubl ... is-review/
When choosing a hammock, I have looked at many issues, such as stand, bar, hammocks material and stand material.
I need to buy a hammock for my room, I can choose Vivere Double Hammock or not yet? This hammock is really good?
Please, help me?

Most of the folks here are using thier hammocks for backpacking and camping, so there's not a huge body of knowledge about hammock stands. Most of the hammocks we use are between 10 foot to 12 foot long, with the attachment points on a ridgeline 8 foot to 10 foot apart, and additional attachment/adjustment hardware extending beyond those points about 6 inches. These attachment points need to be about 5 to 7 feet above the ground and from 12 to 15 feet apart. There are few commercial hammock stands that fit that criteria.

The hammocks and stands you linked to are similar to those at Hammock Universe ( http://www.hammockuniverse.com/collecti ... ock-stands ) and are perfectly suited for backyard lounging. They are certainly comfortable, and are perfect for use after mowing the lawn, but folks here are not really going to be all that knowledgeable about them and may not be much help.

For interior room hanging, most people attach some rings directly to wall studs, and then hang their hammock between the attachment rings on the walls. Most of the hammock stands take up too much room for inside hanging.

Came across this conversation, so which one did you buy in the end? I have similar needs, was looking at hammocks with stands here https://www.hammockdream.com/shop/hammocks-with-stand/
