Camping with cats

Although the section is "Hiking with Dogs", I'm going to assume the heart of this section is CAMPING WITH PETS. So, I'm asking about cats.

Does anyone else camp with a cat? I've got some questions and would love to ask someone.

nope......but I remember reading about an AT thru hiker, who had an orphan kitten "adopt" him on the trail. They completed the hike together. Kitty would hunt mice most of the night, and sleep on top of the backpack during the day.

Hammock hangs are where you go into the woods to meet men you've only known on the internet so you can sit around a campfire to swap sewing tips and recipes sargevining

Being owned by a couple of cats myself,

I saw a video or a trip report somewhere, not necessarily this website: https://www.backpacker.com/skills/take- ... ackpacking

but it was all about letting your cat lead the way. Maybe if you had one that was panther-sized so it wouldn't get eaten! Mine likes to climb into the hammock with me, (indoor hanging) but would probably run away and hide in a strange place outdoors.

Take it easy,
