My friend, Matt, (and his friend Jason) were involved in a van explosion today. Matt is a fellow Lutheran and has done mission trips. He just started hammocking. Both are seriously injured. Jason has extensive burns to his body. I've been told Matt is heading back into surgery. He lost part of his left leg and his right foot.

I've ridden in this exact white van in the news. Matt is a generous guy and I'm just in shock. Please send prayers!

No word on what caused the explosion. Matt posted a message on his FaceBook page today that he is celebrating his birthday today be being alive!

So, I've created an email address for him "HappyBirthdayMattF@gmail.com" and I'm asking all my friends to send him an email with a joke. I know it will totally make his day. Please take a second to Google a joke and send it to him. Thank you!
