Feet problems while hiking

Have any of you experienced a pinched nerve in your foot while hiking? This was first for me, I now have a big toe numbness, and a tender spot on the nerve that runs under the inside ball of your foot. I'll be tossing those shoes as an option for hiking. Have y'all experienced this while hiking or walking, or just during the normal "walk of life?"

Take it easy,

Never had a pinched nerve, but have gotten "rock or stone" bruises before with certain tennis shoes. never had a problem with my vibram 5 fingers.

I get it from time to time, the ball of my foot and the three smallest toes go cold and numb. I never cpuld figure out a consistent cause but I put supefeet insoles in every pair of boots I own and it's gone.
