The $35.00 Camp Chair

Is the Quest over? Has the Holy Grail of Camp Chairs been found? Will Lassie get Timmie out of the well? If you're old enough to get that last reference, you might want to continue watching this video because you likely need a good camp chair. If you just want a good camp chair, it might help you out as well.

Looks pretty good sarge. Wonder how it'll hold up over time?
As a side note, will you talk to my wife and explain all this to her? She wants to know why I'm googling Bangood!
I understood at a very early age that in nature, I felt everything I should feel in church but never did. Walking in the woods, I felt in touch with the universe and with the spirit of the universe.

I've sat in a few of these from other vendors and have always thought they were comfortable. Too expensive but comfortable. Never really considered buying one, but will watch your reports on it to see how it holds up. I've got two kids and a wife who join me backpacking often enough that I have to factor them in when selecting gear. At $35 x 2 or 4 I might be able to justify that. Looking forward to the updates.

I have one of those Monarch chairs, and I exceeded the test poundage and broke a leg on it...

I keep it around for weight loss motivation, so far I haven't seen that good of results.

I would be interested to see how your $35 dollar chair holds up. Did it have a poundage recommendation?

A tip for sitting in soft ground: To keep the legs from sinking in, sit the forks over a 2 to 3" diameter log.
Texas will again lift it's head and stand among the nations. It ought to do so, for no country upon the globe can compare with it in natural advantages.

I got a message from a viewer on Google Plus:
FYI
This chair's weight limit: 100kg (220 lbs);
Big Agnes Helinox Chair One Camp Chair: Load Capacity: 320 lb (145kg).
Helinox is going for as "low" as $86 on Amazon right now.
I don't have a weight limit on the comparable Monarch---but I guess you do---and would love to know how it compares.

The log idea would work. I'm going to do a video of my version of the "Zort Solution" that he showed us at the Butt Bake.

Bought one of those chairs but it's going to take a while to get here. A long while, since mine is shipping from China.

220 won't be good enough for me... I need to get my busted Monarch out to shame me into weight reduction; after Christmas.

It looks like for $38, you can opt for shipment from the US warehouse instead and get it in 5-7 days.

Kinda makes me wish I hadn't bought 2 Treos last time I was in Colorado. http://www.rei.com/product/877920/therm ... treo-chair

Let's just pretend I was supporting the local economy.

I'll try to get videos like this out a bit quicker----

No worries. Just don't have an excuse to try one of yours out now.

Mine came in last week. Still haven't tried it out. Raining cats and dogs in Georgia today.

Best part of that video was Faith in it. :D

I like my cheapo, lightweight stool but having a backrest is pretty darn appealing!
