Hello everyone,
I wanted to share an update on GEAUX Hammock.
The first full commercial

production run of our hammock has been completed. During the manufacturing process, we had been talking with retail outfitters and sporting goods stores and I am thrilled to say that GEAUX Hammock is now being sold in a few retail stores in Louisiana and Arkansas. We are waiting in orders from 3 other stores and planning the second production run as I write this.
My goal when starting this business was to offer a quality 11 foot hammock that was made in the USA, included the tree straps and have it sold in a retail setting. Two weeks after the production was completed, I can say we are on our way!

I've been watching your progress on Facebook and have to say that I'm impressed with your approach of getting them into stores rather than rely on internet sales alone, making them in the US, and making them 11 feet long. I think it will have a postitive effect on a market overgrown with cheap chinese parachute nylon clones under 10 feet long with rope suspensions. The market needs more quality economy priced hammocks if its to expand as I think that there are a lot of folks buying the cheap crap who abandon hammock camping after sleeping one night in the woods shaped like a banana and waking up with knee pain.

Thanks sarge! Yes, it is a different way to slay the giant. Want to give them a good hammock to start in but not have to change once they decide they like doing more than just hanging out.

Hmmm, I don't have one of those…

… yet. :-)

Great to see the update and I too am glad to see what you are doing and applaud your approach as well.
