Thanks for the holiday sale my wife will be upset with me when she sees the over $100 CC bill for "darn camping gear" I clearly don't need. But I finally will be able to relpace those clunky original decender rings on a Warbonnet BB XLC with a relatively lighter, faster Titanium Cinch Buckle pair and still be fast and fairly heavy duty for car/canoe camping. That has been my one major irritation with Warbonnet for years. (Also requires new amsteel loops.) But then it will be fixed, a hammock I truly like!
Also some other odds and ends for light weight DIY backpacking projects. Stuff adds up fast even with some discounts. I am constantly making minor modifications most are not actually improvements but that is how some of us learn. If 1 or of 10 is a success that is great, I keep it. One VP in Reaseach that I worked for told us that as scientists we needed to kiss a lot of frogs to find something worth a patent, IMO decender rings for hammock suspension are a frog, even a hitch works better.
