Extra meat on #3680

#1

Post by PapaSmurf » Mon Jun 20, 2016 9:47 pm

After 4+ years and thousands of hammocks, I finally did it.
Sewed my finger to a hammock. Needle went right through the finger and into the hammock zipper. Ouch!!!

#3680 is a Darien in HyperD Woodland Camo we built for an instructor at a survival school.
Don't tell him, but he got a little extra meat on that hammock.

I am glad I am not the only one to ever do that.

OUCH! That makes me shiver just thinking about it. Please, NO pictures though!

Seriously, I hope you are doing better soon and it doesn't hamper you from making the fine hammocks that you are putting out.

Yikes! I haven't pulled that one off yet, but I have come close a few times. I'm not looking forward to the day that I actually do.
*Edit*

That hammock looks sweet!

That can't feel good.

My wife has long fingernails so when she sews and gets a little close, it is just a pierced nail, not the actual finger yet.
Texas sucede? Y'all are lucky we don't invade!

It's kinda tender today, but work goes on.
Ive been whining about it every chance I got today, but sadly have received no sympathy from the other Smurfs here.

I bet there were a lot of eye rolls though! Man, it is tough when you don't get any sympathy and others say to "suck it up" and "get back to work". I can just see ol' Rodney Dangerfield now, "I tell ya'; I get no respect, no respect at all." <Substitute "Respect" with "Sympathy">
