Pulled the trigger yesterday and ordered a freebird in night grid camo.
I just went with a single layer. Now the waiting game begins. :)

I have not yet tried one of these Dream Hammocks. Someday.

You will not be disappointed in your purchase. Billybob66 if you can make it to one of the Texas meetups we can let you check out some of the different models that we all own.

No worries. I actually don't mind the waiting game. It makes the prize that much sweeter in the end. :)

It also will give you time to think about your choices and make any final changes prior to them working on your sweet hammock.

Yes sir. I actually have been in contact with Deanna the past couple of days. I ended up adding UQ hooks and tie out hooks and I changed my fabric to 1.6oz HyperD and the color is now dark olive. Deanna is quick to respond to my emails and is super friendly and helpful. I see myself placing another order in the near future. :)

I like the looks of those UQ hooks, now there is an interesting concept!

How does that work, add some extra Grosgrain loops to the side of your quilt(if not already there), then run a short loop of shock cord from those loops up to the hooks? Or some other way?

Ever since my first Thunderbird, I get the hooks on all my hammocks. I even put them on the hammocks I have DIY'd.

Sorry for the late response. Haven't had much time to hang in this since I bought it due to life and other interest getting in the way. I'm back at it again though. I don't even use a UQ. Not because I don't like them, but because I can't afford one at the moment, so I added them just in case :)

I actually don't have any insulation at the moment. I just ordered a GG pad yesterday and I'll probably just end up getting a mummy bag just in case I need it. I just quit smoking cigarettes just so I can have the extra cash to buy more gear.
