Butt Bake Pre- Hike June 17-19

Plan is basically to do the hike I got beat out of by the Tax Day floods. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=738 alos scout out that pot hole on the dam to see if there's anything we might be able to do about it.

Will arrive at PL #8 Friday PM, head to Niederhoffer Saturday, circuit around the lake following the old road/fence line or whaetver else marks that boundary, check out the maller lake to the SE of Niederhoffer, then either camp at/near the lake or hike, over to the deer season camp near mile 51, or some other interesting place on the trail.

Little Colonel says I can't go alone and the dog don't count.

Who else would like to go?

Cool, glad to have ya.

If anything else, its a good way for folks to learn the trail to the lake before heading out.

Hmmm. I've got some calendar issues to work on but I'll keep this in mind.

Will it help if I promised to bring my chili?

Or if I promise not to bring my chili?

I'm flexible---

I'm in. I did almost this exact trip back in April. But we did not go to the dam nor the second lake. I would really like to check these areas out and work on my summer kit.

Hey Sarge, I was just checking my calendar and just saw that I am attending a wedding that Saturday (the 18th) so I won't be able to join you after all. I am very bummed but I can't miss this wedding. I was really looking forward to this but will just have to wait until July for the big Butt Bake. I hope to catch you another time.

I'm interested, just gotta pin down logistics. Do I understand correctly that everybody will be at parking lot 8 from Friday pm until time to head out Saturday morning?
