I'm leaving now. might get to #8 parking after 1 pm, wait of it to warm up some more then hike in... Considered bringing a very small gas chainsaw but looking at forecast seems bucking hardwood for campfire may not be necessary, no freeze expected :-)

My memory is of spotty cell coverage at both Niederhofer and PL 8. Any updates on quality of phone communication?

I believe at #8 most carriers can get a bar or 2 of service if you wrap your shorts in aluminum foil, stand on your left foot, face east, and point your right hand at one of the moons of Uranus. At the lake I've only seen Verizon get service.

That shower felt like the joyous tears of baby angels raining down on my body...where were my flamingos?

Did anyone find a large LOCSAK oder proof backpacking bag that contained food (cookie pack, Ritz peanut butter crackers, Fig Bars, Strawberry Pop Tarts, et cetera)? It is a transparent gray color with a zip-top lock style closure. I had placed it on top of one of my ice chests and apparently it got moved before I started packing and I missed it. Anyone happen to pick it up?
