My generic Kevlar straps have about had it after 3 years. Just picked up some straps from "myerstech hammock labs" They're coming in between 2.3 and 2.4g per foot on my scale. Not the lightest out there, but much cheaper for me as it is sold by the foot for $1.19. I can get just enough shipped for two 4ft straps for less cost than 10ft of 3.3g Kevlar and it's about a gram lighter.
I'll try to post a review once I get them sewn up and use them, but initial impression: they are durable, seem to hold a becket hitch, doubt they will work with hardware
