Hammock with UQ for $50

#1

Post by Flatliner » Tue Dec 27, 2016 12:20 pm

I am not sure the proper place for this but if anybody is interested in a starter or kid hammock that would be budget friendly, this looks like a great deal.

(I have no affiliation with Woot or Twisted Root Design, just got this in my email this morning and wanted to pass it along.)

Looks like the same thing as the ENO Ember 2 and the Yukon Kindle.

And this one:

It appears we may be finding the bottom of the 40 degree synthetic UQ price point.

I'm not a big fan of the design, but if it gets folks out into the woods, I see it as a good thing.

I totally agree sarge. I wasn't tempted myself but it seemed like a great starter price or an option for someone who has to equip a bunch of kids...

It is. I've got a friend whp has one of the Ember 2s. Works well enough for him.

I joined Hammoch Hangers just to give a shout out to Woot. Recently purchased this style under quilt from them and service was great. I probably won't use quilt for anything more than car camping but I wanted to try this style out because I like it and because I do a bit of DIY myself. I like this style and intend to copy it with down to help cut down weight.

I picked up one of this design for under $28. Here is my video preview.. (Not a review just a preview,) So far it shows promise for a low priced option. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNhjbV_n2Uo
Hennessy Expedition, Yukon Outfitters & Wilcor Mosquito Hammocks .... Plus, Equip Double. (Yep, a cheap Wally World but I like the thing for hanging on the patio.)
