Howdy from DFW area

#1

Post by TXyakr » Fri Oct 16, 2015 7:05 am

Hi I'm Ken from north of DFW, TX.

Been sleeping indoors and outdoors in hammocks since I was a baby and my parents were camping in them decades before that throughout Latin America. I own several hammocks, all gathered end styles but I don't have a strong preference. I can sleep on just about anything, occasionally I even sleep on a flat mattress bed but its not great for my back and seems unnatural.

TXyakr

I tend to ramble on a bit much and kayak almost every weekend and have lived in Texas since 1983; that is where the trail name comes from...

Y'all can just call me TX, TXY, Yakr, The Beard, Jerk, Ken, Fool, or Professor if I ramble or whatever just don't call me late for a Pot-Luck supper!

Welcome TXY! And don't worry about your ramblin, people are not likely to notice that from you if I'm here for comparison!

Welcome!

Sleeping in a hammock is much more natural to me and probably you too.

Just think about it when you were sleeping in your mothers tummy it's like you were in a hammock.

Well kinda, you were in the same position. Remember? :)

Anyways for more help sleeping in a hammock look here: https://bestcampinghammockgear.com/how- ... k-properly
