Holster Ridgeline Organizer - The project that turned me off to the 'other' site...

All,

Here is the DIY project that turned me off to the 'other' hammock discussion forum. Personally, I think there are a lot of hammock campers who carry a gun. (I for one, carry it much more for two legged snakes than any real fear of wild animals.) However, sharing a pic of this organizer got me scolded and my pic removed. It was deemed political and not hammock related

For your enjoyment, here is how I manage a gun in a gathered end hammock.

(Scuba agreed to host the PDF and attach it... Thank you sir)

Pretty sad frankly that you couldn't openly share and discuss your creation, regardless of its purpose. I for one don't carry, but respect the rights of us Americans.

Thanks, this was a real eye opener to me. I hadn't realized the degree of over moderating that was present. I was a very active participant over there until this experience. It was really disappointing.

Yeah that's really unfortunate and I don't think that will be an issue on this forum, hopefully. Looking forward to seeing your DIY project.

No problem, just relaying my observation.

Thanks for posting this. On my Tapatalk feed "hammock" and "holster" caught my eye and I thought, "uh oh, he's going to get into trouble" then I realized it's a different forum so I just joined!

Looking forward to checking out the lay of the land here.

Thanks again!

Thanks Papa Smurf, I appreciate that. I am really proud of the idea. More than any of my other DIY creations, it solves a problem that I had.

I ask a question related to GPS and other gear, only to receive a scolding as well. I too have left that site.
