I nearly ordered some, but just read the reviews. Never mind!

Well, Shug has a pair and he gives them a thumbs up. Good enough for me.
I have know idea who the reviewing people were on the REI site.

I have the feeling that sometimes and maybe just a few of the compation may place some faulse data in rival sites...........remember it is the interweb................we could all be lying.............lol

You do have a good point, but at least one reviewer said he had the old booties, liked them enough to go buy more and was disappointed in the new version. That does seem to happen all too often.

I made my booties out of the sleeves of a JC Penny down jacket.

I know that it can be a crap shoot sometimes................however, I will see if the work in place of s;eep socks and trips to the bushes in the night or if they stay at home for winter house shoes. No matter...........win one way or another with that low price.

I've got a nice pair (can't recall where I got them---I recall they were on sale at deep discount) but the problem with them is that they have rubber soles---almost boot soles---which isn't good in the hammock.

I like my "socks" as they fit well in my Crocs.

I've had a pair of the REI ones for a bit over a year and they work great for my needs. Nice a warm and well built.

Got the booties in the mail Tues. evening. They are very warm. You don't want to walk very far in them. For a quick trip from the hammock to the bushes at night would be ok. I will put some Scotch gaurd on them B4 I use them out doors. For a house shoe they are great. My wife loves hers. Her feet may never be cold again. For what I paid for them I think I got a super deal.
