Goofy Text messages after browsing on my Android?

I may be totally goofy here, but just now, I was browsing the Hammock Hangers and reading a few of the forums on my phone. After I switched out, I got two text messages saying to enter a verification code for a "vine" account. I was browsing on my android phone using the chrome browser...I don't play the vine thing.

Yesterday I got a couple of those same messages, but they were facebook verification codes. I just went to FB and deactivated my account for a while.
I did not think this was related, and maybe my android phone is jacked up? Maybe it was a coincidence I was browsing the forum on my phone both times before?

It is Very Mysterious.

Never seen that before. I hope you get it sorted out. It sounds annoying.

Sounds like adware, malicious ads or spyware. Your not goofy. Try installing an ad blocker and changing your settings in chrome to block pop ups in the advanced section. I run a custom rom on my android phone because I was tired of all the ads, pop ups, malicious ads, bloatware, etc.
