On an 11 foot gathered end hexon 1.0 hammock, there are two small holes. One is just a stretch and puncture, the other is about 1 inch long. I think both came from a small dog's nails. Both are toward the outer 1/3, not in the center.. My son sleeps nightly in the hammock. What is the best way to fix them?


just do an overstitch?
sew a small patch?
gorilla tape?
Super glue?

My vote would be a patch of Gorilla tape on both sides and over stitch the area.

Agreed, Gorilla tape and a material patch may be the only way to help it. Gorilla tape is probably not necessary, but if you have it, what the heck. In any event run a double or triple stitch around the edge, but not much more. The more holes you put (with a sewing machine), the more likely it will be to rip again, too. Look at the patch every time you hang and if you notice it starting to tear, time to just get a new one. This will be the weakest point of your whole setup.
