Re: Field Report: Costco Down Throw Blanket Insulation System

Sarge, I like the modularity if your system, but how is the packability?

Black Friday Deals

While I don't favor the mass hysteria of Black Friday shopping I thought it might be nice to post good deals on gear in a collective spot. To start: UGQ 1 day only http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11/24/441010cf3e4cc5384793a9c985a02919.jpg Also BackCountry.com has 20% off one item using code bc20

Tato Hammock Stand

I went and looked at 1" conduit and 1 1/4" to see how much play there would be to make collapsible legs and there is too much for my liking.

I know Bryan has the connectors so you can have the legs come apart, but I want them to collapse.

Re: Thw WEB Tarp ??

I think it's a neat concept and would reduce the amount of weight by reducing the size of the poles.

The spreader bar pockets would need to be reinforced well to prevent puncture.

Maybe it's me, but 14' seems long.

Tato Hammock Stand

Anyone picked one of these up? The conduit stand looks like it would be easy to make collapsible. Haven't been able to find anything online as far as pictures or video. I noticed in Shug's video of his Hammeck stand that the legs collapse on each other for easy portability. Would be neat to be able ...

+1 on the Hex 2.2. That's why I went with it for my Sparrow.

Next group hang in Texas is the Winter Butt Hang near Austin! Try and make it to that if you can. Bring your set up and people will help you fine tune and loan you what you don't have. My first group hang was the winter butt hang last year and HikeHunter let me borrow his DIY UQ after I had tested m...

I have limited space and lost my devoted gear closet so now I am trying to figure the best way to keep my gear organized and ready to go. I haven't been out and about for almost all of 2015 and this last weekend made me re...
