Re: Heading out to Daniel Boone Scout Trail - Grandfather Mtn NC

Awesome write up and pictures Glad to see you all had a fun safe time and that you got to spend a little face to face time with the deer. Also glad that the rain gear helped with the cool weather sleeping. All in all it looked like a great trip.

Re: WB Ridge Runner and WBRR UQ?

I use my wide and long UGQ underquilt on my V_Allen HD and it seems to work fine. No truly cold weather testing has been done yet, but it seems to fit snug but uncompressed going from pole to pole with little carabiners. I have been sleeping for the past 2.5 weeks in my hammock in a hotel room in Bi...

Re: Design our logo!

I think I like what you are doing, but the boxed phrase over the circle makes it seem a little crowded. Maybe put it in a curved box or banner over the top or possibly underneath it like a traditional club patch. Maybe lean towards the with a matching block up top for when/if patches get made with r...

Re: WB Ridge Runner and WBRR UQ?

I hope that someone chimes in to help you out I believe that Chris has a RR so he may chime in, or possibly Uncle Mike may. I am of the "Larger" variety of homo sapiens so until recently bridge hammocks were not rated to support my weight. I got a heavy duty one that V_Allen made me and have not loo...

Re: 7th Annual Texas Fall Group Hang

Cheryl is out looking at the progress of the house and riding her bike on the trails behind the new house with BJ. I would have to get up with her on who all is coming and sharing already. I know Andy "Flynguy" and Allen are among ones that have already contacted her about it. I am hoping that I wil...

Re: Hey from TN

Welcome to the forum. Paul from UGQ comes to mind for me when it comes to bike camping. I know he has travelled great distances on his bike with his gear to different meetups, including coming down to meet us at last year's Fairfield Texas meetup. I have been interested in learning more about it mys...

Re: Heading out to Daniel Boone Scout Trail - Grandfather Mtn NC

I planned on going out this weekend, but a short trip to the clinic has provided me with the knowledge that I apparently got some kind of virus that has been floating around town and I am on meds and bed rest so I miss as little work as possible.

Re: Greetings, fellow hammock nerds.

Welcome to the forum. Bike packing sounds like a blast. For one, you can always have a conversation with Paul at UGQ. Biking is his preferred method of travel and he usually posts up lots of pics of his travels and his camping setups while he is on the road. Hope to see you get the info you need to ...

Re: Design our logo!

I am really digging the shorter centered one with the green hammock. It would make a great patch.
