Good information! Trivial knowledge: "Rule of thumb" has a medieval reference to the size of the rod that can be used to beat your wife. Make sure you milk them tight, and, if you made them yourself, is your constrictor long enough? I always go an extra inch just to be safe.

I love Osprey packs for what they are designed for. I have an Atmos AG i still occasionally use. But UL thru hikers are using sub 2 lb packs.

I had a guy at my local REI try to tell me that the serious AT UL thru hikers use Osprey packs.... :roll:
