Request: link to forum on blog

"Home" and the Hammock Hangers.net logo link to the blog. That is fine.

But once I get to the blog I don't see a link to get to the forums. I suggest adding at least one. If there is one, I suggest making it idiot proof because this idiot couldn't find it.

Thanks!

Yes. I. Am. That happened when I got the woman to marry me. I've been enjoying the benefits ever since.

But I'm not too bright. I'm sitting at a computer in a nondescript building in the city.

Re: Moving to Montana - slowly

I got my wife moved to Montana. http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/h324/gregdeitrick/DSC_6765_zpsceaywclo.jpg For a few days we didn't have the dining table and chairs set up. But there was a table and some chairs on the back patio that were left by the previous owners. So this is what we had to lo...

Yes, if it has been a long-standing central feature of your religious practice.

Re: American values

We seem to be in a shocking state of relative agreement, at least compared to our usual state of disagreement. What is going on? The agreement comes when the discussion is very close to fundamental principles. What is most important to me is that we agree on those; if we do we should be able to com...

Re: American values

Another way of putting it: the very same folks who insist- and are willing to use the courts and their new laws to bankrupt- in order to force a person to bake a cake for another person(forced servitude) totally against the bakers will and religious beliefs- will fight for the importation and placi...

Re: American values

People who beleive in ritual human sacrifice can live here, they just can't kill any people while they do. People who routinely conduct Female Genital Mutilation in their home culture don't have to change those beliefs, they just can't practice Female Genital Mutilation ... There are all sorts of r...

Re: American values

Basically, none of the other requirements you pose have ever been require by the majority of Americans to become one with America. But how about this: 1:learn English, the functional language of the nation you are requesting permission to immigrate to?(most assuredly if I desired to immigrate to Fr...

Re: American values

We don't have to look any further than what is currently happening in Europe and the UK with the Islamic immigrant population to see my point. When I look at the situation in Europe what I see is evidence that your perspective (as I understand it) fails. What does seem like THE liberal principal is...

Re: American values

Where I might take issue is in equating 'e pleuribus unim' with liberal thought. America used to be seen as a 'melting pot' versus a 'salad bowl'. I would argue that becoming one was a great idea and that it was very much a conservative one. It is liberal thinkers that have pushed multiculturalism ...

Re: American values

Sarge, it was a reasonably good speech celebrating something we should all be happy about. We aren't likely to tolerate a monument to Usama Bin Laden, why would the fathers of the confederacy be any different. The OPs post really wasn't an endorsement of a politician and I don't think that was the ...

American values

The mayor of New Orleans, Mitch Landrieu, recently gave a speech on the removal of 4 prominent Confederate statues in the city. I found the speech to be an eloquent expression of what I consider to be the core American value: e pluribus unum , out of many, one. This page has a link to the video and ...

Re: Moving to Montana - slowly

Yeah...I'd be out standing in the woods breathing the fresh, non-Houston-traffic-clogging-car-exhaust-filled air!!! Actually Missoula County regularly has air quality issues. Forest fires for one. Residential heating from burning wood for two. Add to that several EPA superfund sites, the most famou...
