Re: I haven't died

We threw in the towel on day 2. Forecast changed from one day of rain to almost everyday. The cold and wet sucked any morale out that we had left after getting a late start and doing 3 hours of night hiking the first night. Tom pushed a little too hard given his recent heart surgery and Tracey was o...

Re: Meet Roxanne!

Here are a couple pics from my first adventures with Roxy. My first long road trip with her was down to Austin for the McKinney Falls frozen butt hang. It was a long, cold 4 hour ride. I stopped halfway due to a sore bum and frozen hands, finally making it in after dark. The seat definitely needs up...

If it's a Dream Hammock the answer is always a resounding yes!!! You can always make room in the gear closet for another Dream Hammock!

Went great! Fun cold times were had by all with minimal falling, but the requisite minimum of 1 was attained. Good food for the potluck and great campfire [emoji91] stories were shared.

Re: Meet Roxanne!

I ran into some youngsters from Nova Scotia in North Carolina on BRP last summer. At least one was KLR mounted and having a great trip. My SIL got tired of polishing his Harley at the beach and now rides a KLR. We need to get together a motorcycle hang somewhere this spring. Now all I need to do is...

Re: Black-Friday -- Gold

Watched it. Those Thermarest Z pads are great for more than just the hammock. On a chilly night by the campfire they do a great job in the back of your camp chair.

Re: Questions on cordage for new Tarp

The internal pole mod is stronger and creates more room than the pullouts. Neither is a necessity, but a nice-ety. I would stick with the lawson glow wire. Not spliceable, but I did see that Paul had sewn his loops and then used heatshrink tubing to clean it up. I liked it and am going to copy it on...

Cool Idea! I tried to get one going a year or two ago with no luck. Here is a link to the post, link to spreadsheet in first post.

Meet Roxanne!

AKA Rox the Ox! She's a 2013 Kawasaki KLR I recently bought with 1234.5 miles on her. She already had a Happy Trails skid plate and PD Nerf Bars. So far I have added a Harbor Freight Apache (Pelican knock off) case for around town storage. I plan to take her on many long trips with hammocks involved...
