DIY Bug net spreader bar. (This one actually works)

We have all probably seen those hammocks where the bug netting hangs on our face because there were no spreader bars. Installing a piece of twig only resulted in it falling off and that net on our face again. Well, I made a video that has an easy fix for this. Just wanted to share for those who are ...

Re: MD Pinnacle lightweight tarp for $29.99... 17oz

I am happy to see that some people are enjoying this item. I just picked up another tarp. Probably not as light as this one but it is a 10 X 10 and cost only $6.56. It was a deal on Amazon purchased with a code from vipon.com. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0713PFVJY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s0...

Re: MD Pinnacle lightweight tarp for $29.99

Thanks for the weight results. I knew it was very light. I really should get a scale if I intend on doing more reviews for camping supplies. Just never had a need for one before. Hope some of the guys and gals here can use this one.

Re: MD Pinnacle lightweight tarp for $29.99

I'd bet it is less than that. With the entire thing weighing in at 24 oz and the tarp alone "FEELING" just a tad heavier I'd say cut that in half and add a few ounces. I'd bet it comes in under or around 16oz. But that is based on their saying it is 24oz in the first place. I look forward to hearing...

Structural ridgeline install in bug netted hammock

Hi all, I did a video on the installation of a ridgeline in one of my hammocks. While this was installed in a friends Equip Mosquito hammock it is the same procedure for all of my bug netted hammocks. it is a 2 part series and I hope that it helps someone out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcSJRhZ...

Re: The "Turn Over" over cover.

I agree with the shock cord thing. It is vital when dealing with moving objects that tear easily. I was looking through my supplies this afternoon and realized that I was completely out of shock cord. Already ordered to replenish my supply. I am glad that you enjoyed the video. I do not do many vide...

I picked up one of this design for under $28. Here is my video preview.. (Not a review just a preview,) So far it shows promise for a low priced option. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNhjbV_n2Uo

Re: $28 Underquilt

yes, the quality is on par with the higher priced items of the same design from a couple of other companies. It really is put together well. I have found it to be a bit narrow but it still works well...
