Re: MD Pinnacle lightweight tarp for $29.99

I'd bet it is less than that. With the entire thing weighing in at 24 oz and the tarp alone "FEELING" just a tad heavier I'd say cut that in half and add a few ounces. I'd bet it comes in under or around 16oz. But that is based on their saying it is 24oz in the first place. I look forward to hearing...

Structural ridgeline install in bug netted hammock

Hi all, I did a video on the installation of a ridgeline in one of my hammocks. While this was installed in a friends Equip Mosquito hammock it is the same procedure for all of my bug netted hammocks. it is a 2 part series and I hope that it helps someone out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcSJRhZ...

Re: The "Turn Over" over cover.

I agree with the shock cord thing. It is vital when dealing with moving objects that tear easily. I was looking through my supplies this afternoon and realized that I was completely out of shock cord. Already ordered to replenish my supply. I am glad that you enjoyed the video. I do not do many vide...

The "Turn Over" over cover.

Hey guys... I actually made something worth sharing... So... here it is. It is going to be cold soon as fall and winter descend upon us and this just might be what you need to stave off some of the cold. It is my "Turn Over" cover. An inexpensive, under $29, no sew, 15 minute option that is easy to ...

Re: Hammock with UQ for $50

I picked up one of this design for under $28. Here is my video preview.. (Not a review just a preview,) So far it shows promise for a low priced option. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNhjbV_n2Uo

Re: $28 Underquilt

yes, the quality is on par with the higher priced items of the same design from a couple of other companies. It really is put together well. I have found it to be a bit narrow but it still works well...

Re: $28 Underquilt

Ruches wrote:$28? Seems like a bargain. Thanks for the review.
Glad I could help. I've used it a few times around the yard and so far it seems like it might actually work in moderate temps. Still need to see what it will do into the low 40's and lower.

$28 Underquilt

I just received an underquilt that is either a clone or the same company makes these for One Tigris. Best of all, I only paid about $28 for it. Here is a preview video I did on it. If you are looking for an economy underquilt or are on a budget, this might just be an option. The video is a bit fuzzy...

Re: chamelion by dutch...??? may be too close to Sparrow

Can never have enough options on an idea. Being a head right feet left sleeper there are not enough hammocks that fit that need. But all in all, I like what Dutch has done here.... Only wish that I could afford, read that "JUSTIFY" with the wife, making a purchase. buy it, beg forgiveness later. :m...

Re: Ridgeline question

You could just use the one ridgeline and sort of "daisy chain" a couple locations to snap into the Carabineer. That is, if the distance between the two uses is wide enough. I have an adjustable ridgeline where I run the line back on itself and use a taut line hitch for the adjustment. No excess hang...
