Thanks for the sub forum. This is great. Now we need something to talk about... Haha.

Thanks again,
Lawson
Well deserved! It will be great to see you more active again with this aspect of your business.

We can discuss some of those projects you've had to put off for so long now??

Re: Hiking with guns

Nicely written article. Being a gun guy, I of course like it! Which brings my question. Given the critters you named, do you feel adequately protected with what you're carrying? Obviously there are concessions to be made. Smaller and lighter will get carried, while my 3.5# single action comes out fo...

Re: New Forum dedicated to heavyweight camping

When I car camp, I pack my backpack as if for a hike so that I am totally self contained, then I put everything else I own in the truck. Sounds like we have the same trip planner. That pretty much sums it up for me too  Pack goes in because all my hammock related gear is in there. Quilts go ...

Re: Water Management/Hiking-packing

I never leave the trailhead without, at least, 3L of water. Oftentimes I carry 2L in bottles, platy bottles lately, along with my 3L bladder. Water sources can be plentiful, then spread out much further than is convenient so I've become accustomed to caring plenty.Caching is the only other alternati...

Thanks for the reminder, forgot to post this

Please do post our WI hangs here. The more traffic we get on this forum the better, maybe we'll even get Sarge to come up for a hang..........

Re: New pocket concept

A gusseted rectangle should work well with different sized guns. Could be handy during hunting season when the compact ccw auto gets swapped out for a single action revolver.

Interested to see where your idea ends up.

Re: New pocket concept

Great ideas! Simple enough to swap between hammocks. Can the pistol model be sized according to the contents? Perhaps a bit less form fitting? Rather keep em guessing than have the pocket showing things off. Might be tough do to for Sarge's bazooka though!!! Might need to update my Raven(s) order.....

Re: Wet weather camping

I think it's better described as relentless more than torrential. Hard to find a Saturday that's not forecast for rain in the hills for several months at a time. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk I guess I would plan it like winter in my neck of the woods, it's gonna be cold and we'll probably hav...

Re: chamelion by dutch...??? may be too close to Sparrow

This whole thing reminds me of Dutch's food thread. I think a lot of people were under the impression he was coming out with meals, when all he did was start stocking the components to put together a meal on your own. Now he "releases" a new hammock, which turns out to be a kickstarter available in ...

Re: Holster Ridgeline Organizer - The project that turned me off to the 'other' site...

Love the disclaimer!!! Echo the comments on "the other place". As one who occasionally carries while hammocking I too think this type of info needs to be shared. Anything that makes "carry life" easier and safer is a win-win in my book. Thank you for the how to, putting it on the ever growing list o...
