Re:Sorry if this is off topic but it is why I come here

What makes a site have a membership that can discuss sensitive topics in a civil way? I am a member of Quietjourney and BWAC (Canoe tripping related boards) and both have had a problem with posters getting how do I put this maybe disrespectful. This board there are disagreements but people don’t get...

I must be bored also. I am charging some 18650’s to measure their capacity. As far as the 100AH batteries I stated earlier in this post that was 6 times the power density of the best batteries on the market. Any good electronic engineer could figure that out.

Re: Kayak Hammock Camping - where?

My favorite ones are Quetico Park, Woodland Caribou Park, Wabakimi Park, and Opasquia Park. Spent 14 days in Opasquia and saw 2 airplanes. One float plane and one jet at high altitude.

Re: Woodland Caribou Canoe Trip

John I am doing a trip like I have not done for a long time. A base camp trip with a 10 year old in July. I have forgotten how to plan a trip like that. My son has a family of his own and is too busy to go with me. I am glad for the trips we took while he was a youngster. Your son will grow fast you...

John Glad you enjoyed the report and hope the information will help you. The fish detector I used was a no longer made Eagle Fish Mark 320. I have since sold it and wish I had not. I now have a HummingBird PMAX175 which draws less power and is lighter but has trouble finding the bottom particularly ...

Re: The impending climate change apocalypse

Another question that should be ask is how much extra pollution is being created to fight man made global warming. Billions of dollars were made by investing is companies that would profit by the restriction on refrigerants. We were forced to use less efficient refrigerants. This means that when a h...

Txyakr You seem to be upset and I did not intend to do that and I was not referring to you when I said battery sales man were liars. I did not intend to insult you or your intelligence. When someone says something is really really really good I could see that as exaggeration. If they state a battery...

A word about battery salesman. They lie like a liberal. The battery linked above clams to have 100Ah in a package with a solar collector that is 190080 mm^3. If there were no solar collector and it was all battery that is a little more than 6 times the power density of the best rechargeable batterie...

KevinL Ya a water jet or a wire cutter would be nice. But I have some tools to. I have a hammer, a hack saw, a hand drill, and some files. Other words I am jealous! Gives new meaning to the phrase hammer out a project. http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd254/Magicpaddler/Hammock/P1020522_zpsb4a5bdf...

I do not have any trips nailed down for next summer yet. My trips have usually been 10 days but this year both of my trips were 14 days. With the extra days there is more time spent deep in the park. Good luck on next years trip.

Re: Clip-On Led Headlamps (Cap Lights)

I have a couple I have with me on every trip. I have had several in the past with one of the main problems being they come on in my pack. Many of them are delicate and can be damaged in a tight pack. I just need something to set up camp in the dark or go to the john in the middle of the night. I pre...

Re: Woodland Caribou Canoe Trip

With all the tadoo about no sew pole modifications on the hammock sites I thought someone would comment on my no sew paddle mod ( I misspelled sew in the report sow) in picture 3. That was meant to bring a laugh to some.
