Heinipot Storage

I am very late to the heinipot game, but what brand of containers are used to store the heinipot.

I have seen Batchstovez use a twist lock lid with a 1 cup lid on top

What brands have straight sides?

IMUSA Pots

A few years ago lots of people were jumping on teh IMUSA train but since then the pots have become hard to find. Have no fear... I found a place that has them in various sizes and quantities: Goodman's http://www.goodmans.net I purchased some last year from them. Quick turn around, quick delivery, e...

Re: Burned Lips and IMUSA Pots

There are some silicon wrist bands that will work, but I just use mine to boil water in. I eat out of the freezer bag and drink out of a collapsible cup. That fixes the bottom lip, I have one of those, but my top lip is what touches the inside of the cup Was wondering if the snow peak lip guards wo...

Burned Lips and IMUSA Pots

I just burned the tarnation our of my upper lip on my IMUSA

For those that use these instead of a Snow Peak, what do you use for a lip guard on these pots? The heat transfer is extremely efficient with these pots!

Re: Smartwater Bottles

Thank you all Nuff said. Into question two then

Flushing a sawyer squeeze... I have an old PUR Hiker. It's huge. Should I get out of the Stone Age and get a sawyer squeeze? What do you mean by back flushing?

Smartwater Bottles

Bought one this morning when I got gas. I know some people rave over them

What am I supposed to rave over? I assume it's the locking flip top?

Fancee Feest Stove

Duh... Didn't even realize it had a height listed on their site. My apologies. I raised the stand inside the can and I think it boiled about 1.5 - 2 minutes faster with my completely unscientific uncontrolled experiment. [emoji3]

Fancee Feest Stove

Hello all, This is for people that use a fancee feest stove, how tall is you pot stand above the rim of the outside can. Mine is exactly 1/4" and I am wondering if it were a bit taller say 1/2" of it might boil a bit quicker. Thoughts? Boil time currently for 2 cups of water to a rolling boil on 1.5...

Knorr Pasta Sides Disaster

Knorr Parmesan pasta sides... Tried making some tonight in a freezer bag. I'm sure someone has cooked this before on the trail. Mine turned out extremely watery and the noodles were gummy almost dissolved. I boiled the water, put the dry ingredients and some chicken in the ziplock bag, then poured i...

Re: Alcohol Stoves and Getting Consistent Burns

Wow Sgt Rock, that was awesome! And you are so right that it's the gateway drug to DIY. I played with fancy feast first and I don't like the weight. It's too lite for me. I did the 3 oz can under a holed out 5 oz. can wit another on top of that as a pot stand with a simmer cover. The windscreen caug...

Aluminum Cook Sets

Since getting into hammocking and Shug's videos I started digging into cheap ultra lite cook sets. I couldn't find the Imusa pots locally but found the alternative grease pot. I washed it twice now in the dishwasher and now it's got a powdery grey coating all over it; I was afraid that might happen ...
